Error Opening Adapter (Insufficient Permissions)

I'm a Linux user. So Windows solutions didn't make a lot of sense.

Eventually I dug up an answer, indirectly, in the form of someone who already knew what they wanted to do but was confused about doing it.

But it's simple enough and hopefully future people wanting to solve this can now find this page instead of dozens of Reddit threads from 5 years ago that nobody answered.

You'll need root permissions. Go to /lib/udev/rules.d. Create a file named 51-gcadapter.rules. And fill it with this:

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ENV{DEVTYPE}=="usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="057e", ATTRS{idProduct}=="0337", MODE="0666"

What's it do? No fuckin idea. I'm sure someone who's like, really autistic about Linux knows exactly what they're looking at and can explain it to me in complete detail. But I only switched to Linux because Windows started pissing me off. My autism lies elsewhere.
